A: TRACTOR TRAILER (A) DRIVER (M.E.L.T COMPLIANT)

103.5 HOURS PROGRAM: 4 WEEKS

At Trontario Truck Driving School, our mission is to provide top- qulity driving education. We aim to ensure that every student becomes  a safe and confident driver on the road.   


*The Ministry of Transportation is introducing Mandatory Entry Level Training ( MELT ) that requires students to successfully complete the mandatory program prior to attending their A class road test.


CLASS A: Truck Trailer several tractor trailer or combination of motor vehicle and towed vehicles where the towed vehicles exceed a total gross weight of 4,600 kilograms .

Commercial Driver License

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicant must meet the following requirements to be eligible for admission to this program.

 

  • Must be 18 years of age or older to drive in Canada 
  • Must have a valid Ontario G class Driver License  
  • Must complete and submit a medical report to the Drive Test Center
  • Must Pass an eye test at the Drive Test Center 
  • Must Pass a written test for A class and traffic signs  
  • Must have proof of completing 10th grade or Ontario Highschool Diploma OR 
  • Pass the Alternate Admission test ( AAT)

You must PRINT this medical form  and bring it to your family doctor or walk-in clinic. Then you can successfully write the written test at the nearest Driver Test Center .
