Trontario Truck Driving School is designed for students who prefer learning in an automatic vehicle or manual. These packages focuse on essential driving skills and knowledge necessary for obtaining your DZ licence. 

Our experienced instructors will provide comprehensive training, ensuring you are well-prepared for both the practical and theoretical components of the test.


Class D: The student will be allowed to drive a motor vehicle exceeding 11,000 kilograms gross weight or registered gross weight or any truck or combination provided the towed vehicle is not over 4,600 kilograms. Those who are interested in obtaining this license, the student will be able to drive a straight truck, dump trucks, waste management trucks, cement trucks, and fire and rescue trucks.

 

Please note: This program does not require approval under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005

To enrol at Trontario Truck Driving School, students must fulfil specific admission criteria to ensure readiness for training. You must be 18 years or older, hold a valid Ontario Class G driver's licence, and successfully complete a medical examination. This includes passing vision and hearing standards.

We also require students to achieve a satisfactory score on the knowledge tests related to Class D regulations and Traffic Signs. Our team is dedicated to guiding you through these prerequisites!


  • At least 18 years old or older 
  • Valid Ontario Driver license  Class G 
  • Ability to meet vision standards
  • Satisfactory medical examination report
  • Ability to meet hearing standards (on the medical examination report)
  • Passing mark on the applicable knowledge test. (Rules Class D and Traffic Signs)

  1. Air Brake Course – Saturday to Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  2. Medical form: Bring a medical form to your family doctor or walk-in clinic

                Note: Medical form is not required for the air brake course. 

  1. Written Test Class D: You must go to any Drive Test Center with the medical report filled out and complete the written test. This test consist of 20 Rules Questions and 20 Traffic Sings Questions.
  2. Training Hours: Trontario Truck Driving School will book your training sessions a week prior to the road test date appointment or book your first training hours.
  3. Road Test Appointment: Trontario Truck Driving School will book your road test appointment as it might take approximately 1-2 weeks from the enrollment date.

You must print this form and bring it  to your family doctor OR walk-in clinic . 

Then you can successfully write the written test class D at your nearest Drive Test Center.
